Girls and volunteers are required to conduct themselves
according to the Frontier Girl promise and creed at all times.
We believe that good, moral character is essential to building a
strong woman and offer merit badges such as modesty,
responsibility, and joy to encourage girls to learn and display
character traits that will benefit them in the future. We also
require that at least one character badge be earned each year
as a troop project.
The troop as a whole is also required to do a minimum of three
service projects each year, one for the location that hosts the
troop meetings, one for the community, and one ongoing project
of the girls choice. Girls may also choose to organize their own
service projects, earning the Make a Difference Award, and may
utilize the troop as a resource if they desire.
Patriotism is a character trait that we encourage in all our girls
and volunteers. Every troop meeting is required to begin with a
formal flag ceremony and girls have the opportunity to join our
Flag Corps. If troops choose, they can also support our soldiers
overseas via our Adopt A Platoon Program.
